UNIPOWER Announces New ULTRA Series Rectifiers with >96% Efficiency and >40W/cu.in. Power Density

UNIPOWER LLC announces the release of our latest series of high efficiency, high density rectifiers. Designed for demanding networking energy applications, the power supplies deliver an industry leading >96% efficiency and >40 watts per cubic inch power density (50A model).

Operating from an input range of 85 – 300VAC and producing an output voltage of 42 – 58VDC, UNIPOWER’s Ultra Series of rectifiers are available in standard models ranging in power from 3,000 watts to 870 watts in “Ultra” short lengths of 11.1 inches and 8.2 inches.

“The rectifiers’ patented technology allows for efficiency greater than 96% from full load down to 30% load” states Mike Henderson, UNIPOWER Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “With a wide temperature range of -40C to +75C, operation up to 13,000 ft (4,000m) and high reliability with an MTBF > 500,000 hours, the user can install these units in the most demanding network applications with confidence” adds Mr. Henderson.

The N+1, hot-swappable units can be mounted in a standard 1U shelf to deliver 12,000 watts of power. CANbus network management is offered with the available digital controller. The rectifiers are certified to UL and FCC standards.
