2RU ULTRA-COMPACT TELECOM POWER SYSTEM PRODUCES UP TO 100 AMPERES

Coral Springs, Florida- UNIPOWER Telecom's new Gravitas X100 is an ultra-compact, fully integrated DC power system designated to power a variety of telecom systems. The power system consists of three high power-density, hot-swap rectifier modules, a monitor and control section and a DC power distribution section. The complete 19-inch rack system is only 2RU high (3.47 inches) and 11.56 inches deep. Mounting in a 23-inch rack is easily accomplished by means of available mounting brackets.

Maximum system output is 60 amperes at -54.4VDC, 99 amperes at +27.2VDC or 100 amperes at +13.6VDC. In redundant mode the output currents are 40, 66, and 50 amperes, respectively. The DC distribution section can be configured with up to five load circuits protected by circuit breakers, GMT fuses or a combination of the two. The circuit breakers are pluggable for easy changing or upgrading of the output circuits. There are also one or two battery string breakers and an optional low-voltage battery disconnect (LVD). Temperature compensated battery charging is also an optional feature, including a temperature probe.

Gravitas X100, Compact DC System

The controller section controls and monitors the rectifier outputs and monitors the output load circuits. It has LED visual alarms and Form C relay alarms for rectifier failure, fuse or breaker action, low-voltage battery disconnect, overvoltage and undervoltage. There are front panel adjustments for float voltage, battery undervoltage, battery overvoltage and temperature compensation, and test points to monitor load voltage and current. All power connections to the system are at the rear to DIN-rail terminal blocks. One of the main benefits of the compact and integrated Gravitas X100 is that it is easily installed by a qualified technician and can be fully operational in a short period of time.

The Gravitas X100 is ideally suited for use in small telecom installations requiring 12, 24 or 48VDC. The "base system" is priced at $930 each, in quantities. Rectifier modules are priced at $480, in quantities.Systems can be configured and shipped within 1 week in small quantities.
