Coral Springs, Florida-UNIPOWER's new PCP/TPCP front
ends are designed to drive power buses for distributed power systems. Three
different models produce 48VDC at 25A (1200W), 24VDC at 41.7A (1000W), and
12VDC at 66.7A (800W). The units come in an ultra-compact case only 1U high
(1.6 inches or 41mm) by 5 inches (127mm) wide by 10 inches (254mm) deep,
resulting in up to 15 watts per cubic inch power density. They are available in
either hot-swap or chassis-mount versions and have self-cooling fans and a
single, pluggable connector. The PCP/TPCP Series is a member of UNIPOWER's popular PowerCassetteŽ family of switching power supplies.
These front ends
operate from 85 to 264VAC universal inputs and feature power factor correction
together with a Class B input EMI filter. Other features include a 5VDC, 250 mA
auxiliary output, integral LED status indicators, active current sharing, an
output ORing diode and no minimum load requirement. Control and monitoring
features include enable/inhibit inputs, AC power fail, DC power good and
overtemperature logic outputs; and a current monitor output. An optional I˛C
output is available for monitoring operating functions in serial data format.
Standard protection features include overload, overvoltage and overtemperature
protection.
