NEW 1U HOT-SWAP POWERCASSETTE® FRONT ENDS

FEATURE 12, 24 OR 48VDC AT UP TO 800 WATTS

Coral Springs, Florida-UNIPOWER's new PowerCassette® front ends are a series of three single-output models with 12VDC at 50A (600W), 24VDC at 29.2A (700W) or 48VDC at 16.7A (800W) outputs.  Of particular importance is the availability of the 12VDC model specifically designed to power 12V-centric applications combined with high-efficiency point-of-load modules. These front ends come in an ultra-compact, low profile case, only 1.6 inches (1U) high, 5 inches wide and only 10 inches deep, producing up to 10 watts per cubic inch power density. The units are available in hot-swap or chassis mount versions and have self-contained cooling fans and a single, pluggable connector.

Other standard features of the PowerCassette front ends include universal 85 to 264VAC inputs with power factor correction, a 5VDC, 250mA standby output, integral LED status indicators, active current sharing between units, no minimum load requirement, and an ORing diode on the output. Standard control and monitoring features include enable/inhibit inputs, AC power fail and DC power good outputs, overtemperature warning output and current monitor output. Standard protection features include overload, overvoltage and overtemperature protection.

PowerCassette Front Ends

The PowerCassette is covered by patents issued and pending.

The units also have two ordering options. The first is a front panel IEC input receptacle instead of the standard rear AC connection. This option has its output derated by 20%. The second option is an I2C serial data bus, which allows the user to digitally monitor the operating parameters of the power supply. Also available with the PowerCassette front end are two convenient 19-inch racks with several options as well.

Delivery is stock to 8 weeks and pricing is as low as $390 in OEM quantities.
