1U SHELF WITH
HIGH DENSITY RECTIFIERS
PRODUCES UP TO
60 AMPERES AT 24VDC
Coral Springs,
Florida - The new Mercury RMF Series hot-swap rectifiers from UNIPOWER Telecom
provide up to 60 amperes at 27.2VDC or 30 amperes at 54.4VDC from a one
mounting position (1.72 inch) high 23-inch shelf. The 23-inch shelf holds up to
four hot-swappable rectifier modules, each producing up to 15 amperes at
27.2VDC or 7.5 amperes at 54.4VDC. A
19-inch shelf holds up to three rectifiers, producing up to 45 amperes at
27.2VDC or up to 22.5 amperes at 54.4VDC. Each module has an output Oring diode
for hot-swap replacement and is self-cooled by two fans. The rectifier modules
also have wide-range output voltages of 22 to 29VDC or 44 to 58VDC, adjustable
by means of a front panel potentiometer.
Power density is 4.1 watts per cubic inch, and efficiency
is 86%. The modules have a universal input range of 85 to 265VAC with input
power factor correction, which results in less than a 5% total harmonic
distortion of the input current. A Class B EMI input filter is standard. These
rectifiers are designed for a wide range of applications in telecommunications.
Other features of the Mercury rectifier series include
high-reliability hot-swap connectors, overvoltage and overtemperature
protection, remote sensing and DC good LED indicator.
Interface control and monitoring signals include AC power
fail, DC power good, remote output adjust and inhibit. The modules have
single-wire, active load sharing to equalize output currents. Two or more
rectifier shelves can be operated in parallel for increased output current.
The Mercury RMF Series rectifier modules are priced as low
as $417 each, $413 for the three-position, 1U shelf and $455 for the
four-position, 1U shelf. Delivery is 4 to 6 weeks ARO.
UNIPOWER Telecom Systems is a division of UNIPOWER
Corporation dedicated to telecommunications power systems and service, with a
complete line of rectifiers and shelves, dc/dc converters, controllers,
distribution panels, low voltage disconnects, and battery backed up power
