Primary Function	Working in the Design Engineering group, this individual will provide electrical design and detailing for electronic power supply and Telecom power and controller/system design projects. He/she will work with the development group to generate schematics, guide design of printed circuit assemblies, and work with technicians to build and test prototypes. Upon successful completion of the prototypes, work with the documentation team to prepare the documentation package, to include bills of materials, assembly and reference drawings, and various piece part mechanical drawings. The engineer will also analyze problems and generate engineering change orders to support existing product and solve customer problems on an as-needed basis.
Skills/Experiences Required:	Must be capable of overall electronic circuit design for high-density electronic power assemblies and products. Should be familiar and comfortable with all aspects of electro-mechanical packaging and design, including DFM, cost-sensitivity, and standard analog circuitry and power electronics topologies. Should have a working knowledge of embedded, serial communication protocols for monitor and control of Telecom power systems. Ability to perform circuit performance, stress and thermal analysis is very desirable. A working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and PCB design to satisfy UL and international safety standards is desired. As a team member of the Design Engineering group, this person will also be expected to provide support to the manufacturing and purchasing groups, as required, to facilitate the introduction of new products, as well as to support existing products on an ‘as-required’ basis
Qualifications:	The applicant should have as a minimum a BS degree (or equivalent) in an applicable area, and at least 8 years design experience in a high-tech electronic products development capacity.
